First few yrs of Truck Driving

I remember I was sitting at home wondering what I was going to do for work.  I was just coming off an injury that I had suffered and was out of work for a while.  In the newspaper there were plenty of minimum wage jobs that didn't interest me.  I was looking for something that would be more satisfying and in the line of a career instead of just a job.  So here was an ad for truck driving.  I never thought it was something that I could do.  Well I called and the next thing I knew I was heading down to Fontana CA to attend the school for truck driving.

I have to say that those first few weeks were very interesting.  I can't always be online every day and lately my computer has been acting up.  So to those who do view my site, I do apologize and hope to be able to post more often.  Until then we will just have to enjoy when I can.  Stay tuned and more will be coming as days pass.

Hello America, this is the beginning experiences of a Professional Truck Driver.  I want to say before I get too far into it, for those who don't know, we are the Knights of the roads.  We are what keeps America moving because everyone needs something.  In an earlier topic I mentioned things like food and clothing but it goes much deeper than that.  I will list a few more and as time goes on, you will get a clear idea of why we do what we do.  Only a few can actually do what I do.  A couple other things that people need are cars and homes.

Dreaming

Have you ever dreamed about something that seemed so real that when you woke up, you could swear that it actually happened?  It can be a very eye opening experience.  I am a professional Truck Driver and we are what keeps America running.  We are called the backbone of America and its so true because everything that humans need to survive are brought on trucks.  Let me give you a few examples.  The most obvious ones would be the food we eat and the clothes we wear.  How do those things come about?  Well, on trucks of course so you will see throughout my blogs, I will give a reference here and there to hopefully educate the uneducated.  OK back to dreaming.  The other night I dreamed I was standing at a cliff edge and I was trying to help this person who had swerved to miss a deer and the car was hanging on the edge ready to go over at any moment.  So of course being a truck driver, I come upon the scene.  I stopped and rushed to the person’s aid.  She had passed out and was slumped over the steering wheel.  I opened the door slowly and used my razor sharp knife and cut away the seat belt.  All the while the car kept sliding little by little closer to going over.  Well, she awoke right when I finished cutting through the belt and started to scream!  I finally was able to calm her down and pulled her out just as the car went over.  It seemed so real that when I woke up, I saw my phone was ringing.  It was a close friend of mine calling to ask me if I had a strange dream.  So needless to say my friend and I thought it was really interesting how we both had the same apparent dream.  Stay tuned for more!

Restaurants

This is such a broad subject, so let me narrow it down a little for you, who love to eat out.  I have so many favorite restaurants but for now I'm only going to name a few.  Pho is Vietnamese noodles and out of all the asian type of food, I believe that its one of the healthiest.  My whole thing is the atmosphere and then service.  Among those two, the atmosphere is what will make me want to frequent that restaurant.  Most of the ingredients are or seem to be fresh.  You have many choices but not so many that the menu becomes confusing.  For those who don't like noodles but like rice, yes they do have that available as well.  My favorite is the rice noodles that comes in a bowl but are dry.  You can also get the same, in a soup base.  A lot of food for under $10.

Now, one other favorite of mine is a good steak house.  Again the atmosphere and service plays a big role, in if I decide to go back.  Out of all the steak houses that I have been to, my number one choice is Texas Roadhouse.  They seem to have premium steaks and the ribs are excellent!  A little more pricey but again if the atmosphere and service is good then I will go back.  Here I do focus more on the service.  So for those who enjoy the finer things in life, go ahead and run not walk to your nearest steak house.

Texas Hold Em

I have always enjoyed the skill level it takes to truly be a poker player.  The name of the game is Texas Hold Em.  You can play online to unwind after a hard days work.  It doesn't take very much to be hooked.  Most online sites are easy to install onto your computer.  These sites are not a gambling site, you can play for free.
